Step 1
Start from the raw recording
Open an existing .fraimeit project or let your agent create a clearly named working copy before it edits anything.
Fraime.it gives agents a structured way to inspect a project, create a safe working copy, add titles and overlays, shape vertical Shorts, suggest smart cuts, tweak animations, and export from the macOS app without touching the original recording.
3 clean exports free. No signup required to try the workflow.
How it works
The agent does not scrape the interface or guess where pixels are. It reads structured project data, proposes edit plans, and asks the app to apply changes through the same timeline model used by the editor.
Step 1
Open an existing .fraimeit project or let your agent create a clearly named working copy before it edits anything.
Step 2
Describe the video you want: a launch demo, a short product clip, a tutorial opener, or a cleaned-up walkthrough.
Step 3
Agents can preview edit plans before applying them, so changes stay inspectable instead of silently rewriting the timeline.
Step 4
The app still owns the project, renderer, timeline state, undo history, and export path.
Agent tools
Fraime.it exposes the project as structured timeline data. Agents can inspect what exists, draft a plan, and update specific timeline elements by ID.
Agent-created projects use a visible .agent timestamp naming convention, so the original capture stays easy to identify.
The MCP helper talks to the macOS app locally. The app controls the project, target selection, and export path.
Agents can dry-run edits, report what would change, then apply the plan only when the user asks.
Example prompts
The best prompts describe the finished artifact. Fraime.it gives the agent the timeline tools to turn that intent into edits you can review.
“Make a 30 second product demo from this recording. Add a title, trim dead air, and export a vertical short.”
“Create a working copy, add callouts where I click the Render button, and make the intro feel more energetic.”
“Inspect this project and suggest the three edits that would make it clearer for a launch post.”
Start with a local recording, keep the original safe, and use AI-assisted edits to get to a sharper demo faster.
